In 2017, Grounded Theory Review is proud to celebrate fifty years of classic grounded theory as developed by GT co-founder Barney G. Glaser. Are you developing a new grounded theory? Do you have data that could be resorted and further developed into a new grounded theory? Are you working on a formal theory? We invite you to submit your theory for consideration for the special issue of the Grounded Theory Review to be published next June.
The database of the Grounded Theory Review now contains more than a hundred articles on grounded theories--from either a methodological or a theoretical perspective. We would like to expand the open access database with more grounded theories that truly demonstrates the interdisciplinary potential of the grounded theory method. Following the 50 th anniversary wish of Dr. Barney Glaser, we would like to see a conglomerate of new grounded theories submitted by novice and experienced grounded theorists from all over the world. We would like to see theories that span a wide array of disciplines and topics and that demonstrate general applicability and conceptual strengths in diverse social contexts. The theories will be peer reviewed by experienced members of the advisory board of the Grounded Theory Review.
Please submit your grounded theory no later than March 15, 2017. The theory should be between 3000-5000 words in length and be accompanied by a short note of 100-150 words in which you explain what it was exactly that sparked the development of your new grounded theory, and how it relates to the fifty years of exploring the method.
